Mexico and Puerto Rico, AirTran’s new foreign destinations

        AirTran and Southwest Airlines, which have recently merged, will be adding new routes, including foreign destinations, beginning next year. The airline announced on Sunday that AirTran is adding nonstop services between Fort Lauderdale, Florida and San Juan, Puerto Rico. It will also add routes to Mexico from San Antonio, Texas and from the Orange County, California.

Southwest and AirTran agree on seniority

  Southwest Airlines which bought AirTran on May, said that the pilots of both airlines have reached a tentative agreement on seniority, which would require the approval of the members of each company. Southwest plans to fold AirTran, therefore to become a single airline, which would include AirTran planes and employees in Southwest colors.
