New services start for Hooters

Hooters Air starts new services tomorrow, October 28, from Wilkes-Barre / Scranton International Airport to Orlando International Airport, Ft. Lauderdale and St. Petersburg / Clearwater and from Gary / Chicago Airport, Columbus Rickenbacker Airport, and Chicago / Rockford Airport to the St. Petersburg / Clearwater International Airport.

Tickets for the service went on sale at an introductory rate of $79 in September.

The airline owned by the “delightfully tacky” restaurant chain offers a slightly alternative method of flying – every flight is staffed by two Hooters girls – and has proved popular across holiday routes.

The chain is savvy as well as tacky, however. Most of the Hooters destinations are in towns with a Hooters restaurant. So if you haven’t had enough of the wings and Hooters girls on the flight, it’s just a short drive from the airport to get some more.
