Niagara Falls, new service by Allegiant Air

Allegiant Air is adding the Niagara Falls to its services, offering two flights a week to St. Petersburg, Fla., starting on December 15. The airline will fly one round-trip every Thursday and Sunday.

But, at Niagara Falls International, the landing of Allegiant’s new service may be a very significant development, because the airline will become the airport’s third carrier (Spirit and DirectAir are the others), and will help fill up the void left by the departure of Vision Airlines earlier this year.

The new service will also help Allegiant extend its reach into the Canadian market, which has been successful al doing at other border-area airports, this because, almost the 70% of the passengers at Niagara Falls International are Canadians living in southern Ontario.
