Delta and United Airlines hike their fares

    Farescompare.com recently published that Delta Airlines, followed by United Airlines raised their fares. The website, noticed the members that Delta increased their ticket prices from $4 to $10 on its domestic route system. Later United and Continental matched the increase. The success or failure of the hike will depend on whether the carriers match the increase or not.

Smoke on plane forces return

        Smoke in the bathroom of a Continental flight made the pilot to return immediately to an airport in Connecticut just minutes after taking off towards Cleveland. Runaway cat returns home from France

A stowaway cat that managed to fly from Appleton, Wisconsin to France will be returned to her home. Emily will fly first-class on Continental Airlines from Paris to Newark and then onwards to Wisconsin. Somehow the cat had managed to get inside a shipping container last September and was found a month later in a laminating factory in Nancy, France.

New international route from Continental

Continental Airlines has announced that in May it will launch a new international route from its hub at Newark Liberty International Airport. Starting on May 10, 2006, the airline will fly direct from Newark to Cologne, Germany.
