United increases service at D.C. hub

United Airlines has announced that over the next few months it will be adding more flights to and from its hub in Washington, D.C.

From now until May 2006, the airline will add more flights between D.C. and Boston, Phoenix, New Orleans, Denver, Fort Lauderdale, Orlando, Myrtle Beach and St Louis.

Internationally United will also increase its service between D.C. and Vancouver, Frankfurt, Montego Bay, Nassau, St Maarten, Punta Cana, San Juan, St Thomas and Aruba.

Kevin Knight, vice president at United, was happy with the expansion and thought the higher flight frequency would make traveling more convenient.

He said: “Our commitment to provide the best travel schedules for our customers, in D.C. and around the world, continues to shape our network.”
