A new low cost airline has landed on the Minneapolis-St. Paul International Airport. The new carrier is expected to join Southwest, Sun Country and AirTran airlines at the low-fare Humphrey Terminal.
These are good news for travelers at MSP International Airport due to the fact that it is ranked 11th among the top 100 cities with highest fares in the country.
Jeffrey Hamiel, MAC Executive Director said “Anytime we can get more competition in the market to drive prices down and make flying more economical, that’s just a better service,”
Dan Boivin, the Airports Commission chairman said that the new airline will offer flights to two U.S. cities and has in mind adding routes, but for now, it won’t offer direct flights from Minneapolis to foreign locations.
