Aloha launches early baggage handling

Aloha Airlines has begun a new baggage service that makes lugging around your possessions easy.

Called BaggageDirect, the service allows passengers flying from John Wayne Airport in Orange County, California to have their luggage picked up at their home, hotel or business.

The porter then brings the luggage to the airport, puts it through a security check, and upon arrival at the customer’s destination, the bags appear at the baggage claim area.

Even better is that the BaggageDirect porter can check the passenger in and give them their boarding pass after taking their luggage.

Thom Nulty, Aloha’s senior vice president, said: “Aloha is pleased to be first to offer Baggage Direct service for passengers using John Wayne Airport, expanding on the convenience we already offer our customers on Oahu and Maui.”
