American Airlines declares its bankruptcy



American Airlines, declared the suspension of payments in a Manhattan court to restructure its debt of more than 1,000 million dollars, as reported bye Bloomberg.

In a statement the company said it “expects to maintain normal business operations throughout the reorganization process.”

The company  which currently has with 78,000 employees, has named Thomas W. Further Horton as its new CEO.

Horton said he was convinced that American Airlines “will emerge with greater force” as a world leader in the commercial aviation business.
