Great Lakes Airlines interested in taking over discontinued route by Delta

 

Pierre to Minneapolis is the route Delta Airlines is discontinuing and might be taken over Great Lakes Airline.

Delta is ending the service on November 20, saying that the reason is a drop in passengers. Meanwhile, city officials say that this service is very important to the residents, the state government and for business travellers. Therefore, they have hired a consulting company in order to pitch the route to other airlines. 

Great Lake Airlines currently covers routes between South Dakota and Denver, and now are determining if the Minneapolis service would be feasible.

The airlines recently announced that it will add a third daily flight from Pierre to Denver starting on November 21.
