Increased fares for 2012


Airlines received this new year with increased fares.

US Airways and Southwest, both carriers of Philadelphia International Airport, are among the group which are raising fares by as much as $20 along routes.

This information was reported by Farecompare. The Farecompare CEO, Rick Seaney said “the hikes were about half as large as systemwide increases usually are.”

Other airlines that are raising fares are: AirTran Airways, Frontier Airlines, American Airlines, United Airlines and Continental.
