Mesa Air unveils new Hawaiian service

Mesa Air has announced that it will soon operate an inter-island service for Hawaii that would connect Hilo, Honolulu, Kona, Lihue and Maui.

The new flights are scheduled to begin next year and Mesa plans to use regional jets that will operate at a high frequency with low airfares. Some sample one-way fares include Honolulu to Hilo, Kona, Kahului and Lihue all for $85.

Jonathan Ornstein, chairman and chief executive officer at Mesa, said: “We believe our combination of modern, environmentally-friendly aircraft; the latest customer service technology; a committed and unified workforce, and these new low fares will be strongly supported by the Hawaiian market.”

Currently Mesa has over 1,000 daily departures to more than 150 destinations in the U.S., Canada and Mexico.
