American Airlines has begun a new direct service from its hub in Dallas/Ft Worth International Airport to Osaka, Japan.
The flight will take off once every day, and be served by the wide body Boeing 777 jet used primarily for long-distance flights such as these.
American’s executive vice president of marketing Dan Garton believes Osaka is a key Asian market.
He said: “Adding Osaka to the American Airlines network through Dallas/Ft Worth will further solidify our commitment to grow the airport and North Texas into an important center for international travel, trade and commerce.”
The flight will be American’s 33rd international destination from Dallas and its sixth non-stop route to Japan.
American also flies to Tokyo from Dallas, Chicago, New York, Los Angeles and San Jose.
Now with its new code share partner, Japan Airlines, American can offer extensive service within Japan and throughout Asia from Tokyo.
