Suspicious objects were found on a flight from Japan to U.S.

The U.S. authorities are investigating an incident that has to do with “suspicious”, but “no explosives” objects that were found on a flight that landed in Portland (Oregon) and came from Tokyo (Japan).

The FBI informed in a statement, that belonged to Delta Airlines flight and landed around 8:00 am local time.

155 passengers were traveling as well as ten members of the crew, whose baggage was inspected by agents of the Customs Agency and Border Security.

The FBI conducted interviews to all passengers and crew, and checked inside the plane to find evidence relating to suspicious objects.

The authorities have not provided more information about the content of those suspicious objects or whether they are related to the packages, in some cases explosives, that have been found in embassies and government institutions in Europe.
