Suspicious package caused Delta plane evacuation

A Delta Airline plane had to be evacuated due to a suspicious package today around 11:30 a.m.

The plane landed at Port Columbus and the passengers were evacuated while fire crews and the bomb squad were called out in response to an “Alert 2”.

Angie Tabor, with the Columbus Regional Airport Authority, said that nothing was found and that it was “business as usual”.

Passengers had to be re-screened and the airport did not close.
